Nurture and Nourish Summer Retreat

Join Mel for a long weekend of luxury in this beautiful 5 star retreat centre in a tiny seaside town in the stunning Cardigan Bay (full address is Glandwr, Tresaith, Cardigan, West Wales).

We’ll be nurtured by the tranquil idyllic surroundings, nourished by the excellent food (see a sample menu here), all homemade, nutritious and delicious, and discover complete relaxation through yoga practices which feed the mind, body and soul.

The yoga

This retreat offers restorative yoga, yin yoga, and yoga nidra, all of which will bring a deep sense of letting go in the body and mind, resulting in a sensation of relaxation, contentment and peace. 

With teachings offered in a relaxed yet safe way, you are invited to create exactly the kind of retreat that you need - doing as much, or as little as you and your body need. Mel offers insight and clarity over the history and philosophy of yoga, making her teachings relevant, interesting and with depth. 

We will start each day with yoga to lift and energise our souls, followed by a nourishing brunch; you won't go hungry! 

There will be time to wander, walk, sit, swim, read or simply catch up on sleep in the day (a light lunch is included) before we join together for an evening yoga session working up an appetite for a delicious dinner and exploring deeply relaxing yoga nidra to help us sleep well. 

The Venue

This special venue is a real find. A 5* venue with a family feel to it, hosts Linda and Alain have created a warm, cosy space with the luxury you need to feel truly looked after. A ten minute stroll to the sandy beach and with luscious woodlands literally on the doorstep, this grade II listed venue exudes charm and style. This small retreat will host up to 10-12 people, meaning you will get more of Mel’s time and attention to help you get exactly what you need from the weekend.

The food

The food on this weekend will be provided by our personal chef and host, Linda, and will be vegetarian, as well as free from gluten and refined sugar. By filling our bellies with wholesome, delicious and nutritious food we will feel rejuvenated and energised and by no means deprived!  From creamy vegan porridge, scrambled eggs/tofu, roasted tomatoes, sourdough bread, fresh fruit salads, smoothies, tea and coffee, our brunch is sure to set us up for the day. Lunch will be soup, bread, avocado and salad, keeping you feeling light yet indulged, and we will relax after the evening yoga with a fantastic vegan/vegetarian Indian-based feast.
