Fri 2nd - Sunday 4th march 2018

Escape to the country for this weekend of yoga to reconnect your mind and body. It's impossible not to relax and unwind in magical Dartmoor where you can stop, breathe and just be. Enjoy beautiful sunrises over the spacious skies, delicious, organic meals made with love by our own private chef and green hills to go walking - this truly is a weekend to escape, unwind and simply breathe.

The yoga

We will explore the healing qualities of nurturing yoga asana, restorative yoga, yin yoga and yoga nidra  - you'll be surprised at how different you feel after just a few days. We start each day with tea and snacks, and a silent dawn walk to watch the sunrise, before entering to blissful yoga nidra. A morning hatha yoga practice follows, working up a real appetite for brunch served at 10/10.30am.

After brunch there is free time for walking the green hills, playing with Brian the pet dog, reading, or simply catching up on sleep. A light lunch is available in the afternoon, followed by more yoga nidra, and on Saturday a group discussion. The evening brings a 2 hour yoga class, ensuring we are ready for dinner, and in the evening we move into silence to enjoy the peace of the countryside. All activities are optional, you are invited to do as little or as much as you like.

Arriving from 5pm on Friday and leaving around 2pm on Sunday, this weekend will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed and revitalised.

The food

Nemia is a much treasured part of this retreat, and her 5 star organic, nutritious and simply delicious food will leave you feeling nourished and replenished. Catering for gluten, diary, wheat and refined-sugar-free diets, Nemia prepares all meals from scratch, with love. From energy balls on arrival, early morning snacks, an amazing brunch including eggs, porridge, scrambled tofu, fresh fruits, granolas, yoghurt (dairy and non-dairy) and a range of tea and coffee, lunches of soups and salads and bread, and vegan and vegetarian dinners good enough to convert any meat eater, not to mention her famous desserts (including Mel's favourite - crumble!), Nemia truly puts the nourish into this retreat.

The venue

Eastdown is located close to Totnes, meaning it is easy to find and yet completely idyllic. With alpacas, grazing nearby, easy to access footpaths, and a beautiful peaceful feel throughout, there's a good reason that Eastdown is called the breathing space! With an original thatched roof and charming wooden furniture throughout, your stay here will leave you feeling truly rested.
